The little point and shoot camera needed a pouch. I wanted to be able to throw it in my purse and take it anywhere. This little holder fits the bill. Two rectangles of fabric, one of batting, a button and some thread. Oh, and a half hour of time. There is enough room inside for the strap to fit in comfortably.

Inspired by Jane’s merrymaking, I decided we were in desperate need of some color in the potholder department. The old ones, while serviceable, were a drab olive green. These two will add just the right amount of color. A dash of yellow, a splash of blue and liberal portions of pinks and greens–a perfect recipe to counteract cloudy skies.
Jane describes the process on her blog. An easy gift idea and a great way to use fabric scraps. Perfect project for a handmade Christmas.
