Right after I posted about Thursday’s packages, the UPS man arrived at the door with a box of substitute sunshine. Jenny must have included some Texas weather in there for me too, because by the time it arrived at my doorstep, we were already enjoying heat and plenty of sun. Whatever she did, it worked. The bright and cheery fabrics (just look at those Sis Boom blues), and handmade pincushion, needle case and artwork–you can’t help smiling. I should mention…Jenny did not make the artwork. That was Miss K’s contribution. Thank you both!!!
Jenny made the pincushion from Anna Maria Horner’s pattern which you can find in Anna’s delightful and informative book, Seams to Me. The center of Anna’s pincushion is intended for notions like thread spools or scissors. But I found that a ramekin fits perfectly into the center space and is just the thing for energizing snacks. Looks like perfection to me.
