It’s been cloudy and rainy here–not my favorite kind of weather. This native Southern California just does not do well without sunshine and warmth. I made up for the lack of sunshine by indulging in some gift making using bright fabrics and coordinating yarn. A couple of aprons and matching dish cloths will make a great hostess gift. (Thanksgiving is only a week away!)
The simple half apron is done in Jane Sassaman’s Hothouse Garden collection with a knitted dish cloth to match and the chef’s apron is Kaffe home dec weight fabric with a crocheted dish cloth. I think they’ll be well received.
As for making up for the lack of warmth…I may have had some help keeping warm today. A little black cat was scratching at the back door and I let her in for a visit. You can see she made herself right at home. She ignored all the fabric mess and went straight to my chair. She purred so loudly that I had to turn the volume up on the TV. Have a Happy Friday!
