Not everything has to happen on a grand scale to be satisfying. Sometimes, a simple thing will do. Like a new pincushion. Pulling from my lovely stash of Jane Sassaman’s Enchanted, I whipped up three in no time. It’s easy to dismiss large personality prints like Jane’s when considering a small project. But as you can see from these simple pincushions, they can work wonderfully well. It’s a matter of choosing a particular element and letting it shine.
I added Jane’s Fiesta Stripe ribbon by Renaissance Ribbons as an accent for two of them. This narrow ribbon is a favorite of mine. It’s lively without being too bold. For the third pincushion, I used simple grid quilting and let the silhouette do its thing.
