You may have noticed something different around here lately. As of last Friday, the website has been showing off its new look. All the same stuff is here–the blog, Freebies and lots of photos of projects. But the look is fresh and clean with a snazzy Art Deco logo. And now you’ll come directly to the blog anytime you type in 100billionstars.com.
But the most useful difference is the fact that the site is now responsive. You can pull it up on your smartphone, your tablet, your laptop or your desktop and it will adjust for size. It makes reading on various devices a much more pleasant experience. In other housekeeping related news, I have given up on Etsy ever getting their act together on the EU VAT tax remittance. Instead, I’m giving Gumroad a try. My patterns are listed for purchase at gumroad.com/100billionstars but there’s no need to bookmark that site. Just click on the Shop tab at the top of the page and follow the link. (If you sell pdf patterns or are interested in selling them, check out Gumroad.com. It might be a solution for you as well.)
In between getting pattern files and samples to magazines, I’m working on a couple new bag patterns for the shop. And possibly a quilt pattern or two. Lots to do but they’re fun projects, so well worth the effort. We have yet to see any blistering heat here along the coast. It makes me nervous, wondering if we’re going to get hit with a heatwave that lasts until November. For now, I’m making the most of the pleasant daytime temps and getting stuff done. As you can see from the photos, the plants are getting stuff done as well. Just look at the pink bottlebrush! It’s breathtaking. How are your summer plans coming along? Are you finding time to enjoy a few lazy days? Or are you taking advantage of extra free time to sew and craft? And if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, are you cuddling up with quilting? Or letting your imagination hibernate?
