Ugh. One word sums up my feelings of the past week. We’ve been having above average temperatures for a while now. I’m ready for Fall. Not that we don’t get hot days through October, but at least we get low humidity with the heat. This summer has been all about monsoonal moisture creeping up from Mexico. It’s hard to get much done. Between the heat and the fact that I’m switching to iced tea by 9 a.m., I’m not getting much done besides the work with deadlines. I’m dreaming up ideas though–that part is positive. But it means that I don’t have much to show you. So I thought I’d point you to a free pattern. You can find my free pattern for Free Spirit here at the MakeItCoats site. Just click here. (Photo courtesy of Free Spirit) The center panel is intended to showcase a large personality print. However, you could use a solid background and add applique shapes. Or maybe make a crazy patchwork piece from our scraps. It’s very easy to personalize this pattern.
The current issue of Stitch magazine has two of my projects. This pillow done in Amy’s Bright Heart sateens:And these large hexie table mats in Tula Pink prints:You can order a digital one here. Or check your local newsstand for an actual magazine.
Have a great week, everyone! And stay cool (or warm)!!
