Nothing quite competes with the great feeling of satisfaction when you complete a WIP (that’s Work In Progress for the uninitiated) that’s been in the stack for ages. This baby quilt has been in the “To Be Quilted” stack for, um….er….well…an embarrassingly long time. When my friend Bonnie Christine‘s Reminisce fabric collection came out, I bought some fat quarters. This was 2013. I know, not really a long, long time ago, but still…. Given that I made a baby quilt and those quilt up quickly, it’s crazy. Of course, in my defense, it got put away with some other stuff and I didn’t see it for a year or more. Hmmm….that says too much about the organization around here.Anyway, the heat wave continues with very few dips in the thermometer. This translates into small project sewing in the early morning. This little quilt was a reasonable project for restricted hours and I quilted it up last week.I put the fat quarters to use on the backing as well. Ten fat quarters, some Kona solid in red plus some binding and there you have it!Another project with Stinka’s approval. And just as important, one less project in the WIP stack!
Don’t you love that feeling of accomplishment?!
