I’m not sure how it happened–how November snuck up on me. Maybe it’s the crazy, unseasonable weather. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m fighting the second cold in three weeks. Or maybe I’ve just stopped paying attention to the calendar. Regardless, it is November and the remaining days of 2015 will go by quickly. It’s the time of year to start panicking about Christmas and homemade gifts. These bags are great for gift giving–empty or filled with goodies. I used Kay Whitt’s Green Grocery Bags pattern from Sew Serendipity Bags. Think plastic grocery bag done in fabric. Each bag has a pocket on the front. Fold up the bag, tuck it into the pocket, and…..voila!I used Zandra Rhodes’ Feathered collection for Free Spirit to make these. Fabric should be showing up in online and local quilt shops this month, so check with your favorite shop.
I need to make myself a cup of tea and huddle in my chair with cough drops and kleenex. I hope you and yours are starting off November in much better shape than I am. See you back here soon–when I’ve got more energy and fun stuff to share.
