Wow. April! Where is all the time going? The older I get, the faster it goes. Funny how that works. After a bit of a lull, I’m jumping into some sample sewing with both feet. It’s a pillow making fest here at the moment. I have Kaffe and Anna Maria and Juliana Horner fabrics all over the place. Lots and lots of pillows to piece and quilt. I’m looking forward to sharing those in May (Next month! Gasp!). Before that box of fabric arrived, I whipped up a few flat zipper pouches. I like having a few of these around. When they’re not in use, they can be stored away without taking up any room. I used some leftover Atrium by Joel Dewberry to make pouches similar to these. Instead of ribbon, I added a second print. And I finished knitting a pair of socks in Malabrigo sock yarn. The color is called Archangel. I’m still building confidence when it comes to knitting socks. But this yarn makes the experience well worth my efforts. For now, I have to get work on those pillows. No more distractions. Which means I better put away the other yarn that came in the mail today. Out of sight, out of mind. Or something….
Have a wonderful Friday and a relaxing weekend. Happy sewing!
