Hello! Did you have a good weekend? Find time to relax? Sew? Read a good book? We’re experiencing a heat wave here so finding time to relax over the weekend was especially important. I used some of the time to organize my sewing space.I sorted some of my button stash by color and filled up this Aurifil thread case. It’s just the right size to accommodate a fun assortment. I still have jars and baggies full of buttons, but this will be easy to find and use when I need embellishments.I also loaded the Color Therapy quilt on the frame. Thread is on the way for this one. I have the rulers so this may be my first ruler practice quilt. Eeeek! I’m nervous but excited to start that learning curve. However, it looks like fabric will be arriving any day for more sample sewing. Quilt Market is only a month away after all. The ruler work may have to wait.In the meantime, I’m setting aside scraps from the sample sewing. Kaffe prints are so inspiring to me. I may not use them all the time but they continually stimulate my creativity from their spot on the shelf. This color/print combination is currently making me very happy. It’s time for another iced tea in the shade. With the thermometer reading 88 degrees and a few more hours of heating up to go, I plan to avoid all strenuous activity for the rest of the day. Hope you’re staying comfortable where you are. Have a great week!
