It seems we all have plans for the summer–between finishing old projects and starting new ones, everyone has plans to be creative. I love that! Before we get to the winners of the Mod Corsage giveaway, I want to share the three Mod Corsage pillows I made for Quilt Market.A bright and cheery Dresden plate adorns this one. Two very different prints create a lot of contrast. And the prints themselves have great movement. Together, they make lively statement. I used pearl cotton to stitch around the center fussy cut circle and added a few buttons for emphasis.A simple three piece panel received a bit of flirty attention with two small ruffles. For an even easier pillow, I used big stitch quilting on the Passage print. And of course, added embellishment–this time with fabric tassels at each corner.
I have more pillows and a few bags to share from my Market sewing. Look for those over the next week or so. But now, on to the winners of the fat quarter bundles…Thanks to everyone for their comments on the giveaway. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one with a long, long list of things I want to accomplish.
Next month, I’ll be showing more One Fabric Nation projects. Are you looking forward to Amy Butler’s Eternal Sunshine? Then don’t miss my June posts!
