Most of you are probably aware Quilt Market took place this past weekend in Houston. Today is the last day of Market and from the looks of it, lots of exciting stuff was on display. But the thing I want to talk about is Jane’s new collection. (Really, when do I not want to talk about Jane’s fabric. So much to love.)The collection is called Folk Tales and is full of lovely color and energetic designs. Today, I’m showing you a travel set I made in the Blue colorway. This is my favorite colorway, by far. There’s just something about the black and white with blue & green that speaks to me.I used the large scale feature print, Kerchief, for the main body section of the garment bag and the smaller scale Kerchief for the bag. This print is full of fussy cutting potential, especially for broderie perse. The Blanket Stripe really sets off the print. And of course, there are Indispensable Dots in the collection too. I’ll be stocking up on the Black.
There are more energetic prints in the collection, which I’ll share later in the week. But for now, here’s the first glimpse of what I’ve put together with this delightful collection.
For those of you who are interested, the garment bag is based on my free pattern. I just used quilting cottons instead of laminates and fused Thermolam to the pieces before quilting. The bag is the smaller version of my Quick Trip bag, also free and available in the Freebies section.
