Yep, that sums it up around here…hardly working. The last week had a lot of family stuff in it–a brother in from out of town, an uncle’s 80th birthday party, a visit with my niece who just started radiation. Sometimes we just have to let go of what we intend to do so we can live in the moment.
Despite all those things and a few more, I managed to sneak in the beginnings of a new project. I have some ambitious plans for this. I hope I can execute them all.
As you might expect there’s plenty of contrast and lots of color in this one. The current plan includes some dramatic applique.
But before I get back to work, I plan to sit down with a cup of coffee and Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane. A promising start to my afternoon–good coffee, great book.
