Here’s what happened to that pretty stack of Renaissance Ribbons in the last post. I sewed the ribbons to a piece of Free Spirit linen in a diagonal pattern to create a piece of “ribbon fabric”. I matched Coats and Clark thread to each of the individual ribbon styles. (In case you’re wondering, they are colors 3530, 4310, 5280 and 8360.) Then I made an envelope back with a strip of ribbon to cover the stitches securing the Velcro.
It doesn’t have its own place yet, although the leather chair seems like a great place for it to land. I’m tempted to haul out my Anna Maria Horner stash and whip up a large patchwork pillow just to coordinate with this pretty little thing.
