Let’s end August with a free pattern, shall we? I’m calling this one Garden Paths. I know, these are flying geese but they remind me of decorative garden paths between the trellised flowers. There are only four blocks to make for this throw sized quilt–it measures 52″ square–and uses just over a yard of Social Climber. If your favorite shop sells generous yards, you’ll only need one. Otherwise, 1 1/8 yds will do it. Of course, I think you’d be crazy not to just order 2 yards because seriously, Social Climber! If you weren’t an Anna Maria Horner fan the first time Social Climber came out, you can be forgiven for not understanding the desperate need to hoard this print. I used Social Climber in Lichen with two of Anna’s Loominous fabrics. Specifically, the geese blocks use Illuminated Graph in Metallic Fog and Shadowed Path in Mint. The setting pieces are from Stepping Stones, Coreopsis in Sand. The border is Anna’s True Colors Sealing Wax print in Julep. You can currently find all of these, except Social Climber which is backordered until October, at Hawthorne Threads.I’ve also worked up virtual versions of other colorways. Above is Social Climber in Ice. And then…Social Climber in Gold, followed by…Social Climber in Perfume.
You can find all the necessary sku information in the pattern on pages 4, 5 and 6. So get your shopping list together! Click here for the free pattern. Have fun!
