No matter how high the stack of quilt tops needing actual quilting may be, there’s always time to prepare for the next one. Or two. I love my flannel thin quilt so much, I just have to make another. I ordered more Anna Maria Horner flannel Surprise Endings from Quilt Home. They’ve been washed and are ready for cutting. Don’t they look lovely?Another stack of gorgeous color is waiting for my attention as well. I dug into my Sis Boom stash for this project. I’ll be making a scrappy version of my free pattern for Free Spirit. This is going to be one of those projects where I encourage you to let go of the rules and let your own style shine. If you want to get started cutting, you need 96 – 5″ squares and 48 – 5 ” x 9 1/2″ rectangles. Dig into your scraps and start cutting! This quilt is throw sized at 54″ x 72″ but can be enlarged quite easily. I’ll be putting together a worksheet with the basics so you don’t have to print all the pages off the MakeItCoats website.
Ready for a little colorful fun? I know I am!
