The past week was spent nursing a cold and trying to stay cool in the continual heatwave. Not the best of times. Nothing really got done. And I am okay with that. I wish I had some great stuff to show but the truth is, I’m just grateful to be nearly over this cold. While I was sitting around marshaling antibodies and trying to get well, I realized I forgot to share this finish with you. I finished this in August. I started this one after the first of the year, so I’m quite pleased to have a finish within the same year as opening the package. It doesn’t always work that way. I used a frame for this one and it made things so much easier. Here’s the link to Anna Maria’s needlework kits. Just in case you’re tempted. And while I’m talking about Anna’s work, have you seen her new collection Fibs & Fables? It’s fabulous! I had a chance to sew up my Patchwork Carryall bag for Free Spirit using this collection. It’s great fun. Click here to see the whole collection.
It’s been so hot and sticky for so long, I feel like the holidays are at least six months away. However, the calendar reminds me we’re halfway through October. Christmas is only 70 days away. Not that much time to make handmade!
Do you have plans to make handmade gifts this year? Have you already started? What things are on your list to make? What about your list to receive? Tell me. I’m curious.
