Another week has slipped past us. September is almost here! Which is crazy because that means the blog turns eight and I turn 50. I haven’t actually thought much about all that because I’ve been the victim of spiders and mosquitoes lately, plus for good measure, an explained case of hives. Irritating!
However, I did spend a great deal of time working on the pattern for the medallion. It’s nearly ready to share. I reduced the piece sizes to fit letter sized paper but I’m thinking I should make a large file with my original piece sizes all on one sheet. That one large sheet could be printed by your local printer. You would need to be sure the paper was the right weight for foundation piecing though. Another alternative for the letter sized pieces is a yard of printed cotton with all the pieces. I’ve ordered that from Spoonflower and if it turns out, I’ll put that up for sale.
I’ve also started the pattern for the quilt in the photo. To be honest, I forgot all about this one. I got carried away with the medallion and it totally slipped my mind. Sorry about that. I hope that will be ready for next week.I hope your enjoying the last days of summer (for those in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway). Spend time relaxing and exploring your creative thoughts. It’s a good time to soak up inspiration for the days ahead.
Stay safe this weekend!
