Quilt Market is underway in Salt Lake City. And since most of us cannot be there to enjoy the fun, Amy of Amy’s Creative Side, has developed Blogger’s Quilt Festival. You can see past Markets by clicking on the links here. And you can join in the fun this time around by submitting your own quilt or by clicking your way through all the entries.
I decided on this quilt for my entry. It was hard to choose. But the color and summery vibe of this Amy Butler quilt won out. I love the vibrancy of this one. One charm pack, one jelly roll and two solids made for a quick throw sized quilt. A no-brainer kind of quilt which was exactly what I needed at the time.
My approach to quilting hardly ever involves patterns. I’m an intuitive quilter. Grab some fabric and play–that’s my motto. Even the times I start with a plan, things change along way. (But that’s a post I’ll get to next week.) It was no different with this quilt. The thing that remains constant is the pleasure of creating.
Grab your favorite beverage and settle in. Then click over to Amy’s site and visit all the beautiful entries. There’s sure to be something to inspire.
