It’s finished! The Baby Ripple Afghan is complete. All that remains is the blocking. I love this pattern’s simplicity. Not only is it easy to work–in fact, this is as close to No Brain Crochet as you can get–but the color combinations and looks you can achieve are almost endless.
I used Red Heart’s Designer Sport yarn for this afghan. It’s not the softest but acrylic yarn is almost indestructible. Since this is a gift for a young family, it needs to be easily laundered and dried. (We have an acrylic knitted afghan made over 25 years ago by Mr. P’s grandmother. It has been well used and well laundered and will still be around another 25 years–at least.)
So go to Attic 24, follow her pattern for this Neat Ripple Pattern and crochet something that can be loved to death without falling apart. I’m ready to start another one in my colors. You should join me!
