Have a Happy Friday, everyone! Make time for creative play and think Spring! Whatever it takes to get the creative sap rising, now is the time to start the process. I believe there are many beautiful things waiting to take shape. Waiting on us to do the work and make it happen.
Jenny at Sew Pretty Dresses gave me this Beautiful Blogger award! Thank you, Jenny! Now that I have the award I am supposed to do the following:
1) Thank the person who gave me the award,
[Okay, well…most of you probably know that I am not good at these kinds of things and have a tendency to ignore them altogether. However, in light of the spirit of friendship and camaraderie that marks the award and the crafty online community, I will play along. Sort of.]
Thank you, Jenny! When I started blogging I was nervous about the people that might be out there. What if a bunch of crazy people found my blog? I’ve discovered that there wasn’t much to be worried about. (So far the crazy people remain hidden.) Instead, I have found new friends. People full of enthusiasm and life who want to be creative and share positive energy and ideas. People like Jenny.
2) Pass the award on to seven bloggers whom I have recently found and whom I think are fantastic,
Here’s where I fail. There are so many wonderful blogs out there. I don’t want to have to pick and choose. (And I don’t want to irritate anyone.) So, instead I’ll point you right back to Jenny and her productive corner of the blogosphere.
3) Contact said blogs and tell them they won,
4) State seven things about me.
Item one: I have two vices–coffee and dark chocolate
Item two: I will never have enough time to read all the books I want to read
Item three: I’m a cat person first, dog person second
Item four: I have 26 nieces and nephews and 11 grand-nieces and -nephews
Item five: I grew up without a TV
Item six: I love the weather on the coast but don’t go to the beach (I know, I know)
Item seven: I’m a klutz
There! I did it. Kinda. I think I’ll survive. This is so out of character for me. But seriously, I am grateful to Jenny for her enthusiasm and for following the blog. Do visit Jenny and see all the cute things she’s made for her daughter.
I’ve been hunting online for this Sis Boom Zebra print for what seems like forever. Imagine my excitement on finding it. Not quite delirious. But close. Unfortunately, the brown is unavailable. Sigh………….
It’s such a great dash of the unexpected. I can’t wait to see what happens. Better get it in the washing machine…right this minute!
